The objective of the Rules and Regulation of the “Carrera
Habagat” Adventure Race is to set the framework
for a competitive race conducted under a safe, fair
and sportsmanlike manner. Ecological awareness and sensitivity
to the local culture is also emphasized.
It should also be noted that it
is impossible to make rules for all eventuality and
that there will be specific verbal rules attached to
certain stages of the race. It is the responsibility
of the teams to take notes of these specific rules.
I. Organization
1.1) The “CARRERA
HABAGAT” Adventure Race is organized by Summit
Outdoor Equipment and Services, Inc.
1.2) The organization is
a firm advocate of environmental awareness and protection
as well as respect for people and local cultures and
may eliminate any team who deviates from these values.
1.3) The organization has
complete discretion in formulating and applying rules
and penalties. The organization reserves the right to
impose penalties for conduct in violation of the rules
and / or contrary to the best interest of the race.
1.4) The “CARRERA
HABAGAT” limits the number of participants/teams
for the race. The organization reserves the right to
accept or deny entry of any competitor/teams.
1.5) The registration fee
is set to the following:
• Carrera Teams (Local, National &
International)
Registration Fee per team: Php
8,000.00
for ALL TEAMS
• Company-Sponsored teams
Registration Fee per team: Php 8,000.00 for ALL TEAMS
plus Php 5,000.00 = Php
13,000.00
NOTE:
The additional Php5,000.00 shall allow the team to
use the logos of the company in any of their equipment
(example: team uniforms). However, the Company / Team
shall follow the correct placement of these logos,
so as to give space for the Official Race patches
to be given by the organizers (Team Number, Carrera
2007 Patch, Major Sponsor Patch). This will also allow
the team to bring 2pcs. Company streamer (Size of
2x6 feet)
• International Competitors
Registration Fee per team: $
200.00
NOTE:
For foreign teams: It is
the sole responsibility of the teams to know and comply
with all the rules of the host country, including
obtaining appropriate visas. The organization will
not be held responsible or liable for any actions
undertaken by any competitor which may violate the
rule of the Republic of the Philippines.
1.6) Registration fee is
non-refundable and inclusive of:
• The general organization of the race
• Organization of the field
• Installation of safety measures
• Equipment for certain disciplines
• Race kit which includes: Race Passport, Race
Maps, Race Book, Event Logo patches, Team No. Patches,
Souvenir Event Shirts, Four official equipment.

* Media Coverage
* Hosted dinner during the awards and closing ceremonies.
1.7) Registration constitute
full acceptance of the organization rules and regulation.
1.9) The competitor and
their close relations declare having fully accepted
the risk of this type of competition and agree not to
pursue the organization should any accident occur during
the course of the race.
1.10) The organization agrees
to meet an obligation concerning the measures to be
taken to ensure safety as much as possible and call
attention to the impossibility of agreeing to an obligation
concerning the result.
1.11) In case of Force Marjuere
the race may be postponed or cancelled.
1.12) The competitors accept
without restriction that the organization can use all
images filmed throughout the race for the promotion
of the event.
1.13) Rights to the concept,
the regulations, the brand, the video images and film
of the “Carrera Habagat” are protected by
Summit Outdoor Equipment and Services, Inc.
1.14) The organization issues
the accreditation required to cover the race to professional
journalists.
